I’m one of those people that actually enjoys winter. I like the cold – and love the snow. I think it’s remarkable how Chicago shines during every season, but there is something especially captivating about this city during winter. And in the event of a beautiful snowfall, I love to venture out and capture it! It just so happened I was able to capture this particular snowfall while gathering content for a client, LondonHouse Chicago. Their rooftop is a magical place. And most often people think of rooftoping in summer. No doubt a more comfortable time of year to spend 22 floors up in open air. But, on this night the snowfall was like something out a movie. It felt as if we were in a snow globe – so quiet, peaceful, and serene.
There is no photoshop happening here. All of the illuminated snowflakes were created by using the camera flash. If you ever get the chance to head to the top of LondonHouse Chicago, do it. Regardless of the season, you won’t be disappointed.
