WHAT’S STOPPING YOU?
I’d bet we’ve all heard this saying in some form or another, but I think Mark Twain’s version sums it up best:
“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” -Mark Twain
Explore. Dream. Discover. If I had to choose three guiding principles, these could arguably be my favorite. And on my recent trip to New York City I was able to embody all three, day in and day out. It was magical! I have dreamed of visiting New York for years. A giant new city to explore, filled with delicious food to discover, tons of architectural sights to see, all packed tight with a wide variety of people – each striving to fulfill their own dreams. And for a brief moment in time, we were part of that landscape. Or should I say, flying high ABOVE that landscape.
I love to write, and could certainly go on and on and on about our flight with FlyNYON, but I’m going to practice some restraint here and let these photos speak for themselves.
But before I go, I’ll leave you with one parting thought… Although society can sometimes mislead us into believing there is a right way and a wrong way to “be an adult” or “make a living” – there isn’t. Hold on to your inner child who is full of dreams and fluid imagination. Keep exploring to uncover your true passion, and never stop until you find it. You never know what you might discover.
