Case Study
This summer, I had the opportunity to create content for the stunning “Luminescence” activation at LH Rooftop, located inside the iconic LondonHouse Chicago. This installation combines the rooftop’s breathtaking views with a mesmerizing light installation that transformed the space into a radiant oasis above the city. Not only did I focus on capturing still photos of the space, I also prioritized shooting video, both vertical and landscape, to use for b-roll and quick-hit Reels.
In this post, I’m sharing a curated set of images and video that capture the essence of “Luminescence,” from the vibrant hues of the installation to the intimate moments enjoyed by guests under the glowing Chicago skyline. These photos and video have been used across a number of digital platforms to communicate the magic of summer nights in one of the world’s most architecturally stunning cities. In addition to posting across various social media platforms, I also created a blog post on the LondonHouse Chicago website to promote this special activation.
B-Roll for Media Pitches
For those interested in seeing more, I’ve also included this b-roll footage I shot, which was captured for the intended use of media pitches. The video provides a dynamic perspective of the event, showcasing the interplay between the lights, the rooftop setting, and the lively atmosphere that made “Luminescence” a standout experience. Having this b-roll is very useful for the PR team when they are pitching to local and national media outlets. It captures the imagination and helps tell the story.
Reels for Instagram
Lastly, here are a couple of the Reels that I created for the @lhchicago Instagram account. I’ve managed the hotel’s Instagram account since they opened their doors in 2016. It’s an ongoing passion project to keep their feed fresh and relevant.
